Dubai Creek Harbor Mosque

The Dubai Creek Mosque required a contemporary approach to Mosque design. Anchoring a grand axis on such an ambitious master plan requires it to be both iconic in nature but respectful to its surroundings. This mosque will be a physical and visual gateway between the Dubai Creek Tower Plaza and the precious Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. It will be a generator of activity and a destination for both muslims and tourists alike. With a main hall that allows for gathering and a facade that is open enough to give a panoramic view to its neighbors this design will provide a compelling presence in the Dubai Creek Harbor. The goal was to energize the site into a destination, and to celebrate Islam not only as a religion but its influence in the world.
